After the new year (2023) Ocean Arts Cardiff will be offering the chance to book private assessment service for children and adults with – or who are suspected of having – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  We have decided to offer this response to feedback from our music therapy clients about gaps in care and long waiting lists.

 

The service will consist of healthcare professionals Sally Greenwell and Joshua Davey-Stewart, who are experienced in working with ASD. They are trained in and knowledgeable about all areas of development, and are trained in completing diagnostic assessments. This requires a high level of specialist skill that is often not readily available.

The practice of each clinician is regulated by an independent body, which means the public can be confident about the standard of care provided.

Ocean Arts Cardiff aims to provide assessments that are high quality, reliable and helpful, and interventions that support children and adults with ASD to achieve their potential in terms of their development and mental health.

The complete assessment package will consist of both ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessments, and comprehensive reports with feedback.
