Ocean Arts was established in 2012 in Cardiff's vibrant docklands district with a clear mission: to provide South Wales businesses with world-class graphic design and illustration without the London price tag. What started as a one-person freelance operation has grown into a tight-knit studio of dedicated creatives who are passionate about visual storytelling and strategic brand communication.
Over the past twelve years we've partnered with more than 150 organisations — from Cardiff Bay start-ups and Valleys-based manufacturers to national charities and Welsh Government agencies. Our portfolio spans brand identity, packaging, editorial illustration, web design and motion graphics. Whatever the medium, our approach stays the same: listen carefully, think strategically, design beautifully.

With over 18 years in the Welsh design industry, Rhys founded Ocean Arts to bring agency-quality branding to Cardiff's growing business community. He holds a BA in Graphic Communication from the University of South Wales and has worked with clients ranging from local independents to FTSE-listed firms.
Megan specialises in editorial and commercial illustration, bringing a distinctive hand-drawn style to every project. A Cardiff Metropolitan University graduate, she has contributed artwork to national publications, children's books and large-scale mural commissions across South Wales.
Tom leads our digital output — from responsive web layouts and UI kits to social media campaigns and motion graphics. He combines a sharp eye for modern aesthetics with a deep understanding of user experience, ensuring every digital touchpoint is both beautiful and functional.
